Rollercoasters can be big, scary, and thrilling.
But when one girl in the Gold Coast was riding the DC Rivals HyperCoaster at Movie World, she got a shock she wasn’t expecting.

On the footage above, which was posted to Facebook on Sunday night, young Paige is seen enjoying the ride as she sits in the front row of a carriage with her uncle.
It was just your average scream-inducing ride, until the bizarre moment when an ibis comes out of nowhere and flies straight into her face.
“She had feathers on her and a beak scratch on her right shoulder,” the post reads.
“She’s completely shocked, a little bruised but OK … not sure about the bird?”
The hilarious post, of course, went viral and has been shared more than 180 times and received more than 480 comments since it was shared.
“Can you even imagine the horror?” one person wrote.
“I’m in absolute tears of laughter,” wrote another.
Another tagged a friend and asked: “You still wanna go on this rollercoaster?”
“What about the poor bloke behind her that would’ve copped a bin chicken too,” another observed.
Paige has recovered from the incident, although no one knows what happened to the ibis.
