In recent months, he’s been spotted out eating sushi, burgers and at various diners in Iowa, where he grew up. But his favourite meal of choice, is a home-cooked meal with his wife of 18 years, actress Lisa Bonet.
‘Jason loves cooking for Lisa,’ a source tells In Touch. ‘Every week he tries to do a date night, where he cooks her a meal. His specialty is meatballs - but he’s also great with some more traditional Hawaiian meals too.
‘It’s his way of keeping the romance alive - the spark.’
Altogether now - awwwwwwwww! Only a few months ago, Jason confirmed that he was well and truly off his diet now that Aquaman was over.
‘I haven't touched a weight in nine months. I'm just eating bread and butter! Every day is a cheat day!" he told E!
‘I had to not really eat as much to stay lean. I'm Hawaiian—if we eat, we just get big. So, genetically, it's hard for me to get trim,’ he told E! of getting into Aquaman-level shape. ‘You deplete yourself of carbs, so I had a harder time getting lean. I'd rather just get big.’
And if you need ANOTHER reason to love Jason, wait for this. Not only does he love food - he loves a drink too!
The star says that Guiness is his favourite, but also loves wine and beer. In fact Jason once lived in Australia’s Barossa Valley for several years and was says the best thing about filming the blockbuster on the Gold Coast was ‘the grog’.
As for which brew was his favourite, he told Who: ‘They have this one called Fixation here. Stone and Wood's good too!’
We’ll make sure there’s plenty on ice for when you’re next in town, Jason ...
