The concerned mum also shared several photos of the rice cake in question, which appears to have a black, plastic-like substance on it.
Writes Karlene:'Mums be careful with these...was putting all my son's snacks into a container and found burnt plastic on 1 rice cake. But seems to have gone over a few of them.
'Will be contacting Aldi ASAP just wanted to check yours as safety first.'
A fellow mum on the group voiced her concern, agreeing that the residue on the rice cake seemed suspicious.
'I zoomed and could actually see the plastic, it's definitely plastic,' she wrote.
The mum made this post, sharing photos of the suspicious substance.

The Mamia Organic Apple Mini Rice Cakes is one of Aldi’s most popular snacks for little ones, with the supermarket saying they’re suitable for babies from seven months and older.
Aldi advises that the snacks contain ‘No artificial colours or flavours, no added salt’ and are a ‘source of Vitamine B1’ and a ‘Good source of iron.’
There’s no word on how Karlene went with Aldi management at this stage, but we will keep you posted.
