Hog’s Breath Cafe has announced it will close their Coolangatta restaurant on the Gold Coast, after being forced into administration today.
The closure comes just four weeks after another Queensland Hog’s Breath Cafe - located in Indooroopilly - closed its doors.
The restaurant chain is also dealing with the closure of two Hog’s Breath Cafes in Adelaide - while another Hog’s Breath in Aspey, Brisbane, is being radically downsized.
Despite the gloomy outlook, Hog’s Breath CEO Ross Worth is hoping that one of the Adelaide restaurants which recently closed will reopen.
‘We are currently in negotiations with a prospective new owner, and are confident at the prospect of reopening our Glenelg restaurant in the coming months,’ he told The Courier Mail.
‘We thank our Adelaide fans for their patience as we work through this process and are excited to be able to serve them again soon.’
The Courier Mail reports that a second meeting of creditors will meet next Tuesday to discuss the Coolangatta closure.
