We’re not sure when KFC will stop, and we’re not sure we want them to… Over the past year, we’ve heard of every wacky product under the sun – from KFC chicken-scented bath bombs in Japan (who doesn’t want to walk around smelling like refreshing chicken?) to edible nail polish in China. Now, our favourite finger lickin’ good fast food store has announced plans to introduce chicken Christmas ornaments for lucky New Zealanders in early December.
The decorations come in the shape of a chicken drumstick, a chicken wing, chips, a KFC bucket and the great Colonel Sanders himself. New Zealanders will soon have a chance to win the product on their Facebook and Instagram.
“We’re now making Christmas wishes come true for fans with this exclusive range of #KFChristmas decoration,” said KFC head of Marketing Clark Wilson. “Forget the mistletoe this year – these naughty and nice decorations are sure to make the magic happen.”
We can imagine tossing the mistletoe out the window in favour of a festive chicken ornament to kiss under, kicking off a romantic holiday date complete with a mood-setting KFC candle and KFC bath bomb… But, unfortunately, these magical products aren’t available in Australia.
But all is not lost! KFC recently rewarded a lucky fan who realised their Twitter account was following 5 Spice Girls and 6 guys named Herb with a custom portrait featuring the Colonel. If we’re vocal enough about their products will they notice us in Australia, too?
The fact that our New Zealand neighbours are next in line gives us hope for the future…
