It’s presumed that the promotion would work in a similar way to Coles and Woolworths’ collectables where you spend a certain amount to get a mini.
While the woman didn’t elaborate on timings or specifics of the Kmart collectables, she did say that staff were ‘excited’ by the idea and ‘everyone’s been talking about it.’
There’s no denying that Kmart collectables would be incredibly popular if they were to launch. The bargain chain store already has a cult following - the infamous Kmart Mums Australia Facebook group has nearly 350,000 members, while the Kmart Pie Makers group has nearly 100,000 followers.
The store is a favourite with kids across the country, meaning the promotions would likely be as popular as Coles’ Little Shop and Stikeez promotions and Woolworths’ recent Disney Tiles drive.
‘I’m a grown woman but I just love these promotions,’ said one social media user. ‘I can’t wait for a new one to start!’
We’ll keep you posted on the Kmart minis rumours as they come to hand - watch this space!
