Then, using 3 sheets of puff pastry, she blind baked the pastry pie bottoms in the pie maker for about two minutes with the lid closed and then another minute with the lid open. Dianne then spooned in some of the custard mixture, before placing a pastry lid on top and cooking until golden brown.
She then allowed them to cool before dusting them with icing sugar. YUM! Dianne, you’re a genius!
Needless to say the Vanilla Slice Pies have gone down a treat with the Facebook group’s other members, with her amazing post attracting almost a thousand likes.
