Revealing that she used the Aeroplane Vanilla Flavoured Dessert Mix and two slices of raisin toast to make the pies, Maddie says that she made the vanilla mix up as per the packet instructions and left it overnight to set in the fridge.
Sharing her method, Maddie writes: ‘Put it in the fridge last night and rewhipped it with the beaters this morning.
‘Cut the crust off the raisin toast then flattened it with a rolling pin, put a little butter on one side then put it into the pie maker butter side down.’
Maddie then ‘filled it up with the custard, then another flattened piece of raisin toast on top butter facing up then cooked for 5ish mins till they seemed toasted enough to take them out 😊.’
Deeeeelicious! Not surprisingly, Maddie’s pies got the big thumbs up from her fellow Pie Maker fans.
‘You’re so clever!’ said one. Added another: ‘Oh my god yummy!’
Said a third: ‘You’re a genius!! Love this!’
Added one more: ‘OMG, I’m SO making these.’
