In what can only be described as a blessing from the cooking appliance gods, a very clever member of the Kmart Pie Maker, Tips and Ideas Australia Facebook group has discovered the full-size rectangular Mars Bars fits perfectly into the new $29 Kmart Sausage Roll maker. Just like Cinderella and her glass slipper, this is the stuff of fairytales.
“FYI. Full size Mars Bars fit perfectly into the sausage roll maker… YUM!” wrote Michelle Sammon alongside photos of her Mars Bars wrapped in golden pastry, topped with a dusting of icing sugar. Bless you, Michelle; there was only ever going to be good to come out continuous isolation baking.

The hack has already earned thousands of comments and likes on the group, with the entire nation now suffering a severe sugar craving and emptying confectionary aisles of Mars Bars.
So how exactly is this quick and easy treat made? You’re going to need one sheet of defrosted frozen pastry and four Mars Bars. Lay your pastry over the non-stick plates of the sausage roll maker, add your Mars Bars to the four sausage roll sections then close the appliance and wait for the magic to happen. Cook until golden brown, then sprinkle with icing sugar to take it to the next level. Dessert done (and dusted).
Just think, you can satisfy four sweet tooths for under $35, now that’s budget-friendly.
