Jessika Power promised to give her marriage to Mick Gould everything when they said ‘I do’ on Married At First Sight. But shortly after filming their wedding and honeymoon in October, the 26-year-old was already secretly messaging Love Island‘s Eden Dally, 26, behind her husband’s back, most evenings.
‘It started with some flirty comments and likes on Instagram and quickly escalated,’ says a MAFS insider. ‘Eden was desperate to meet her from the start but she couldn’t sneak away from filming.’
Although Jessika was still committed to Mick at this point, the source claims she ‘knew it would never work’ and was ‘keeping her options open’ for once she was free from filming.
Despite months of messages and Instagram flirting, the pair only met face-to-face for the first time on February 09 at Melbourne’s St. Kilda Festival – with Jessika even taking her ‘hot brother’ Rhyce Power along too in a bid to try divert attention and stop show bosses from coming down on her.
‘Although it looked like a group night out it was essentially a first date to see if there are sparks in real life.’
Which there certainly were plenty of!
The revelation is another nail in the coffin for claims MAFS is a serious attempt at matchmaking, after a string of affairs, fights and dramatic plot twists supplied by its blatantly Instagram-fame-hungry contestants.
