Premiere date for The Masked Singer 2023 revealed

It’s back, baby! The Masked Singer Australia is set to return for a brand new season in 2023. 

On Sunday, August 27th Channel 10 confirmed the reality singer show would be premiering on Monday, September 11th at 7:30pm. 

Whilst our contestant clues are still dropping, something tells us that the upcoming season will be the biggest, most shocking yet!

2022 judge Abbie Chatfield was the first to confirm that she would be returning to the popular reality program. 

Taking to her Instagram in May, the 28-year-old shared a happy snap of the judging panel from 12 months ago that consisted of Spice Girl Mel B, radio host Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes, and Big Brother alum and television personality Chrissie Swan alongside herself.

“WE ARE COMING BACK BABY!!” Abbie began her post. 

“I am so thrilled to announced that [The Masked Singer] is having me back for another season!!! Can’t wait to start filming and for all the silly backstage antics.”

Abbie’s announcement sparked excitement among fans who were anxiously awaiting an update on the new season.

Up until mid-August, the official The Masked Singer Australia Instagram and Facebook pages had not been active since September 2022 (not including any Logies-related content).

In June 2023, 2022 judge Chrissie Swan also shared a sneak peek of filming for the 2023 season – revealing that the entirety of the core four have returned! 

That’s right… Abbie Chatfield, Chrissie Swan, Mel B, and David Hughes will return to the judging panel of The Masked Singer Australia 2023

Accompanying her behind-the-scenes post, Chrissie wrote: “It’s back… and it’s SO GOOD! Hit the link in my bio for free tickets to this bonkers extravaganza aka The Masked Singer. We give you snacks too 🤗 (and the gang’s all back!”

Earlier this year, the Aussie media personality confirmed her own return with her followers on Instagram (just a day before her friend Abbie).

“Absolutely thrilled to announce (officially and with the consent of Ten – not just an off-the-cuff comment I made a few months ago to a journo) that The Masked Singer is indeed returning to your screens.”

“I wonder what bonkers stuff will happen this season? I wonder who I will fall in love with?” Chrissie then joked. 

“This show is pure magic, I love being amongst it…and I hope you will too. See you soon for more guesses, tears, and hijinx.”
