“Basically what it does is when you crack it a little bit there’s a gap that you can side your finger into and the whole shell comes off,” she said.
How easy is that? It's such a small detail to include in your egg boiling process but will make all the difference.
The former contestant also dishes on her favourite go-to-meal and it involves a "lot of vegetables".
“I grew up in an environment where everything that I ate was from my backyard and that’s kind of the values I still hold today so anything that’s fresh produce,” she said.
So when deciding what to cook everyday it all depends on what's available at the time or what's over at the market.
“I gather vegetables and then try and use them in a dish with a nice sauce or a pesto or something like that - that’s ultimately my favourite thing to cook," she added.
In the third elimination of the MasterChef Australia, Katrina said farewell to the kitchen after she was announced as the third contestant eliminated from the season.
Despite her short but sweet stint on the show, Katrina is moving ahead with her dreams to enter the food education space.
"My whole goal to pursue MasterChef was to enter the food education space and also raise awareness around access and availability for food," she said.
She's signed on a new role with FairShare Australia, and will be joining them in the next couple of weeks.
