The pies cost just $5 for a pack of two, or $2.50 each, and are now available across all Coles stores.
And while the new launch has many fans eager to try the new innovation, some have had the opposite reaction.
Many have taken to social media to share their concerns that when heating up the pie, it will then heat up the sauce with it too.
"Cold sauce helps relieve the pain of burning the roof of your mouth when you bite into it," one user wrote.
"Are we really that lazy that they think it’s a good idea to pre-sauce and save us from doing it?" another said.
Third added: "Wouldn’t be enough sauce because I like to add a little bite of food with my sauce."
Others argue that the sauce "needs to be cold" and put on top of the pastry, rather than included inside.
"Adding tomato sauce is part of the ritual. Even when it drips down your arm. That's part of the ritual," a user commented.
Another added they disagree with the sauce flavour entirely: "Everyone knows the only sauce you put on a pie is barbecue sauce."
You can now get your hands on a meat pie with tomato sauce baked inside
Total game changer.

When we think of meat pies we think of drizzling a nice amount of tomato sauce right on the top of it and digging right in.

But now, Coles has gone ahead and taken that step out of the classic routine, and has released beef pies with a layer tomato sauce included inside the pastry.
"We've added the sauce so you don't have to," reads the packaging.
The home brand 'Tomato Sauce Pies' comes in a two-pack, and includes a layer of tomato sauce in between the minced meat and the pastry top.
