Posting her most recent haul to the Markdown Addicts page, Kimberley has revealed all her latest Coles bargains including nine dinners at just 25 each!
The haul included massaman beef curries for just 25 cents each, packs of sliced roast chicken for 20 cents, a mega pack of lamb cutlets for only $2.49, sausages for a tiny 25 cents and three lamb shoulder racks for a super low $2.49 each.
The mum also picked up drinks for an unbelievable 5 cents each as well as cottage cheese and parmesan for 10 cents each and protein bars for 20 cents each. WOAH.
And the best part? She’ll actually make money back on the drinks in her haul, thanks to NSW’s recycling program!
She writes: ‘Today’s markdowns. The lean and tone drinks are for [someone else] so she technically made a 5c profit off of each bottle thanks to the NSW earn and return system.’
Amazing! Needless to say the Facebook group’s fellow members were blown away by Kimberley’s haul, with many dubbing her the ‘Markdown God’ and ‘Markdown Queen.’
Revealing how she continues to find such good bargains, Kimberley kindly revealed her tricks for finding the best markdowns.
She writes: ‘Markdowns happen every single day there is no ‘better’ days it goes on the products expiry and in a big supermarket there is ALWAYS something expirying that day or the next.
‘I only shop when I know the final markdown of the day is happening at my local. I spent about a month going to the shops every single day each day I went I shopped at a different hour til I worked out roughly when it was done so the next day I came back at that time 5-6pm at my local so now that’s the only time I shop.’
She adds: ‘Every single store is different just as every manager is different. They all do follow a pattern though.’
Now that’s good advice! For more bargain-hunting secrets, make sure you’re following the team at Markdown Addicts Australia - you won’t regret it!
