With the royal wedding less than a month away, a new documentary, Invitation to a Royal Wedding has shed light on all the details of the upcoming nuptials.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to tie the knot on May 19 at St Georges Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle in the UK and it has been revealed that the couple will have supplied of emergency cake.

The couple have hired pastry chef, Claire Ptak to produce a lemon and elderflower flavoured cake for the big day.

But, not only will she be making one cake, she will also be making an exact replica of the cake just in case something goes wrong on the day.

Chocolatier, Paul Courtney revealed that Prince Harry nearly knocked over his brother, Prince William’s wedding cake back in 2011, right before he married, Kate Middleton.

‘We’d just finished the cake on the day. We’d literally just put the top on and of course, at that point, it’s a collective sigh of relief,’ he said.

‘Harry came bounding in, how you’d expect him to be – a fun joker. And he walked up to it, very enthusiastic.

‘“Oh wow fantastic! Is this chocolate?” he asks. He then picked up a piece of chocolate up and popped it in his mouth. Then he pretended to box with the top decoration.
‘And we were like – “Oh no!”. It was just fun. But a slightly heart stopping moment…’

Fingers crossed Will doesn’t do something similar to Harry’s cake!
