Meghan Markle hints at her due date

The duchess is expecting her first child in 2019!

In mid-October after weeks of rumours and speculations, Kensington Palace officially confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were expecting their first child.

The news broke on October 15, just days before the royal couple embarked on their first royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.

With the announcement revealing that the royal bundle of joy would be due in the Spring of 2019, many people have been left holding out for an answer of exactly when the due date is.

At the time of the announcement, several royal correspondents speculated her due date would be closer to April considering the fact that Meghan had already had her 12-week scan at the time of the announcement.

Now, it appears that Meghan herself has hinted towards the exact due date.

On Christmas, photographer Karen Anvil asked the duchess if she was excited for the baby, to which Meghan replied, “We’re nearly there.

Meghan and Harry have been very vocal about wanting to start a family since they became engaged. During an interview with the BBC, Harry said they wanted to have children but, “not yet, no, but I think eventually, one step at a time, and we’ll start a family in the near future.”

Back in March, prior to their wedding, Meghan joked about wanting kids when she met an entrepreneur who makes baby products in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Upon looking at the range of baby products, Harry’s then-finance quipped, “I’m sure at some point we’ll need the whole thing.”
