Meghan Markle has reportedly given her father an ultimatum.
The Duchess of Sussex has vowed not to speak to Thomas Markle Sr until he makes contact in a ‘respectful manner’, the Daily Mail reports.
Meghan has reportedly not spoken to her father since just after her May 19 wedding to Prince Harry, following his now infamously ‘staged’ paparazzi photo scandal.
Thomas Markle has since gone on to do a slew of media interviews, the most recent of which he claimed the late Princess Diana would be ‘appalled’ by his daughter’s actions.
A friend of Meghan’s allegedly told Daily Mail that Mr Markle does in fact have a way to get in touch with his daughter, through his ex-wife and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
‘The only reason Meghan hasn’t spoken to her father yet is because she’s yet to hear from him in a respectful manner,’ the friend told the publication.
‘Thomas is speaking to the press more than he’s reached out and spoken to his own daughter.
‘Despite Thomas’s claim that he has no way to reach Meghan, he knows that her mother Doria is in touch with her and Thomas knows how to reach Doria.
‘If Thomas truly wanted to speak with Meghan, he could easily have sent a letter to her mother and asked her to pass it along.
‘Unfortunately that wouldn’t sell papers or fit into his fabricated and salacious narrative.’
Thomas Markle has been laying low since his last interview several weeks ago.
