Bystanders were left shocked, and a woman was hospitalised with disturbing injuries, after a car sped down a Melbourne, Australia street with the hapless woman hanging from the window.

The bizarre road rage incident followed an alleged fracas on Monday, with the woman reportedly approaching the Mazda to confront the driver after they allegedly hit her vehicle without stopping.
The car reportedly accelerated, leaving the woman somehow stuck in the window as the vehicle continued down the busy street for some 100 metres.
The incident was captured on phone footage, as other motorists on Footscray Road looked on stunned.
The woman fell from the car and was taken to hospital where she was treated for some nasty-looking abrasions on her face, arms and legs.
The driver, who was reported to have been driving erratically prior to the incident, has yet to speak to police about the road rage attack.
