Congratulations to Misha Nonoo and Michael Hess who celebrated their wedding with a sunset ceremony in Rome on Friday.

The glitzy couple were married in a romantic ceremony at Villa Aurelia, a lavish 17th-century villa which boasts breath-taking views across Rome from its gardens, which provided the perfect backdrop for the celebrity – and royal – guests.

As close friends of the couple, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry joined the celebration in Italy, which was also attended by a number of A-listers.

Meghan is especially close with Misha, who was one of the guests at the Duchess’s lavish baby shower in New York this year, and was personally chosen by the Duchess to feature within her Smart Works capsule collection.

It’s rumoured that the Duke and Duchess even have Misha to thank for their relationship, after she is said to be the “mutual friend” who introduced the couple in 2016.

Meghan wore a stunning black Valentino full length gown with diamond embellishment detailing worth $16,500, while Harry looked dapper in a simple tuxedo.

The guest list was teaming with the who’s who of European society.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie with their partners Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank joined in the big day.

Also in attendance was supermodel Karlie Kloss, and her husband Joshua Kushner who is a close friend of Michael.

Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner also made an appearance.

Ellie Goulding – who is a good friend of Misha’s – also attended with her new husband Caspar Jopling.

In addition, singer Katy Perry and her fiance Orlando Bloom were spotted at the event.

This is Misha’s second Italian wedding (her first wedding was in Venice to ex-husband Alexander Gilkes in 2012).

Misha wore a dress that she designed herself.

“It was really hard actually,” she told PEOPLE.

“When I’m designing a piece, I’m usually thinking about every woman. It has to tick a lot of boxes. When you’re thinking about designing something that you’re going to wear for one day and you have to really only think about yourself, it’s different.

“Obviously, you want your husband to think you look beautiful and you want your respective families to as well, but otherwise you can do whatever you want — you can have short sleeves, long sleeves, high neck, low neck, open back, no back,” she continued.

“It makes it much more challenging. I like to design with a set of parameters. It took awhile for me to come to what it was going to be in the end. I had some ideas initially. I knew I wanted it to be traditional. So I’ve opted for two dresses, so I can tick both boxes!

The celebrations are set to carry on throughout the weekend for the happy couple and their guests.
