According to Globe, experts claim former LA County Coroner Thomas Noguchi’s ruling that she died “accidentally” when she disappeared from her yacht Splendor was made to protect her husband, Robert Wagner.

In a case that has gripped America since the West Side Story actress was found dead in 1981, debate has raged over whether Robert – who waited four hours to call authorities – was somehow responsible. And now, the publication’s report reveals that in 2011, her cause of death was changed to “undetermined” because a new post-mortem showed mysterious bruises unmentioned in Noguchi’s previous report.

Author Marti Rulli, who co-wrote Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour, alleges: ‘Noguchi, as much as Robert Wagner, is one of the biggest culprits in Natalie’s death,” she says. “Noguchi was starstruck. He wanted to be the guy who cut open every celebrity – he wanted stardom, and the Natalie Wood case gave it to him.”

Wagner and the other people mentioned in the report have yet to respond to Globe‘s latest sensational allegations.
