Love KFC? Love donuts? Well the fast food giant has just the thing for you.
While many of us are busy counting kilojoules and hitting the gym in preparation for swimsuit season, the good folk at KFC have other ideas - producing a burger that we’re pretty sure hits 44 million calories.
The Fried Chicken Donut Burger is just one of the things you can eat now that KFC has started selling donuts in dozens of stores across the US.
KFC fans now have the hot glazed donuts available with pieces of fried chicken on the bone or with chicken fillets, meaning you can sandwich the KFC pieces together with some donuts to create a burger. What a time to be alive!
KFC bosses say they’re trialling the new menu additions before rolling them out to other stores and regions - which means we’ll have to wait and see whether the donut KFC burger will land on Aussie shores.
So far the combo has had a mixed reaction on social media. ‘It’s a heart attack in a burger,’ said one. Added another: ‘Will they be handing our defibrillators with this?’
But others liked the idea. ‘Take my money, take it all!’ said one. Added another: ‘This just might be the greatest invention ever. KFC, I salute you.’
