NSW: All stores will be open on New Year’s Day apart from Smithfield in Sydney’s west.
Trading hours vary across the state. Wagga Wagga and Glenfield Park will close at 5pm; Glen Innes, Grafton, Lismore, St Mary’s, Thirroul and Tweed City will shut at 6pm while Moss Vale, Mudgee, Merrylands and Toronto will finish the day at 7pm.
However stores at Broadway, Crows Nest, Gungahlin, Hurstville, Leichhardt, North Rocks and World Square will trade until 11.59pm on New Year’s Day.
VIC: All stores will be open on New Year’s Day, except for stores in Coburg, Waterfield Streets and Knox in Wantirna South. The Geelong store will stay open until 6pm, while 20 other stores - including Caroline Springs, Essendon, Glenferrie, Horsham, Melbourne CBD, Oakleigh, Port Melbourne and Prahran - will stay open until 11.59pm. QLD: The Ayr, Goondiwindi and Mount Isa store will all be shut on New Year’s Day. All other stores will stay open on January 1 until 6pm - however stores at Cairns Central, Miami, Pacific Fair, Palm Beach and Surfers Paradise will all close at 9pm.
SA: Most stores are closed on New Year’s Day. The only exceptions are Berri, Mount Barker, Mount Gambier, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta, Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, Victor Harbor and Whyalla. These stores will shut at 8pm, while Rundle Place and Grote St in Adelaide and Rundle Place will close doors at 5pm.
WA: Most stores will remain open on January 1, except for Kalgoorlie, Narrogin and Tom Price. Many stores will stay open until 9pm, however the following will close at 6pm - Alexander Heights, Calcutta, Banksia Grove, Bassendean, Brighton, Caversham, Claremont, Ellenbrook, Flinders Square, Forest Lakes, Fremantle, Galleria, Gosnells, Greenwood, Hillarys, Inglewood, Innaloo Westfield, Joondalup, Kelmscott, Lakelands, Maylands, Midland, Mirrabooka, North Perth, Rockingham and Subiaco.
Other stores - including Albany, Albany Orana, Erskine, Geraldton, Halls Head, Mandurah Forum, Manjimup and Meadow Springs - will shut doors at 5pm.
TAS: All stores are open on January 1. Stores in Charles Street, Eastlands in Rosny, Kingston, Mowbray and New Town, Racecourse, Sandy Bay, Wellington St in Launceston and Sorell will close at 10pm, while stores in Bridgewater, Glenorchy, Meadow Mews, Newstead and Ulverstone will shut doors at 9pm.
NT: All NT stores will be open from 8am to 8pm on New Year’s Day.

NSW: All stores are open until 8pm on New Year’s Day.
QLD: All ALDI stores will close at 6pm on New Year’s Day, however ALDI at Kingaroy will remain closed.
VIC: Most stores will remain open until 8pm on New Year’s Day. The only exception is Brimbank, which will be closed.
SA: All stores will be closed on New Year’s Day, except for Berri, Kadina, Mildura, Mt Barker, Mt Gambier, Murray Bridge, Nuriootpa, Port Pirie and Victor Harbor. These stores will close at 5pm.
WA: All stores will trade as usual on New Year’s Day.
