1 cup butter, chopped and at room temperature
2 cups of sugar
4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup warm water
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 large bananas, mashed
1 cup choc chips
1 cup Nutella
Grease a non-stick banana bread loaf tin.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, add butter and sugar and beat on medium speed until pale and fluffy. Add eggs, one egg at a time, while motor is still running. Turn off motor, add flour and salt, then mix again until well combined.
In a small bowl, add water and baking soda and mix to combine Add to batter mixture and beat again. Add bananas and choc chips, mix again.
Place the mixture into the cake loaf tin, creating an even layer with a spatula.
Place Nutella into the microwave for 30 seconds to soften. Then pour onto banana bread mixture in cake tin and smooth out to create an even layer. Use a wooden skewer to mix the Nutella into the banana bread mix a little.
Bake in a 175c oven for 50 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack and allow to cool slightly. Slice and serve.
