400g packet La Famiglia Kitchen traditional garlic bread
600g beef rump steak, trimmed
375g packet portobello flat mushrooms
1/3 cup caramelised onion relish
50g bag baby rocket leaves
Garlic aioli, to serve OPTIONAL
Cook garlic bread according to packet directions.
Meanwhile, season both sides of beef with salt and pepper. Cut mushrooms into 1cm wide slices.
Heat an oiled, large, non-stick frying pan over a medium to high heat. Add beef. Cook, for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking. Remove. Rest, loosely covered with foil for 5 minutes. Thinly slice.
Meanwhile, add mushrooms and 1 tablespoon olive oil to same hot pan. Cook, stirring for about 5 minutes, or until tender. Add relish. Cook, stirring over a low heat until hot. Remove.
To serve, cut each piece of bread in half crossways. Top with mushrooms, beef and rocket. Drizzle with aioli (optional).
TIP! Garlic bread is available in the fridge section of major supermarkets. For extra flavour, try sprinkling pepper steak seasoning over both sides of steaks before cooking.
