This Fitzroy-founded ice-cream company has managed to elbow their way into a cheese festival with their unexpected new flavour – parmesan.
Surrounded by cheeses, condiments, and other savoury snacks at the Fromage A Trois cheese festival will be indie ice-creamery Billy Van Creamy debuting a eyebrow-raising flavour mash up with their parmesan cheese ice-cream.
Described as rich and intense, we can only imagine the ice-cream is as punchy as its crumbly namesake. For those who prefer a more dessert-friendly cheese to be involved with their waffle cone, Billy Van Creamy will also be selling mascarpone and blueberry flavour alongside their adventurous parmesan creation.
Frankly, we couldn’t be more happy about delicious cheese popping up in unexpected places. Floating on top of your tea like a cheesecake you can drink, or shaped into a functioning Rubik’s cube, or even as a replacement to your Easter egg – it all sounds brie-liant to us!
Billy Van Creamy was founded in North Fitzroy, Melbourne in 2014 by two brothers from Perth, Alex and Mitch Wells. Their ice-cream is handmade from organic ingredients, and this last year expanded into vegan ice-cream flavours.
To get a taste of Billy Van Creamy’s parmesan cheese ice cream head along to the Fromage A Trois cheese festival, Sunday 8th April at Werribee Park
