Steaks coated with pepper seasoning then cooked to your liking. That's dinner in a flash.
4 thick-cut beef rump steaks trimmed of excess fat
juice of ½ a lime
½ tsp pepper steak seasoning, or to taste
flesh of 2 ripe avocados
juice and zest of 1 lime
1 small red onion diced
- Choose 4 thick-cut rump steaks and trim of excess fat. Transfer to a plate and season with the juice of half a lime, then spray with extra virgin olive oil. Sprinkle meat with pepper steak seasoning, to taste. Barbecue over a preheated flat plate for 8-10 min, or until cooked to your liking. Turn once. Rest for 5 min.
- Mash the flesh of 2 ripe avocados with remaining juice and zest from lime and a small diced red onion. Serve steaks with avocado mash.
