It’s one of the most anticipated sales of the year - and it seems shoppers were taking no chances of missing out on a bargain at the Big W Toy Mania Sale.
Photos show mums queuing up before MIDNIGHT to get the jump on fellow shoppers in the Big W sale event which started today - with hundreds taking to social media to describe the frenzy as ‘absolute madness’.
Said one angry mum on Facebook: ‘I truely can’t believe that grown ass ladies think it is acceptable behaviour to act like twats and cause fights name calling over a toy sale. Would you want your kids acting like this?’
Added another: ‘Staff were lovely... were even running around getting toys for people. Some of the customers on the other hand need to learn how to respect others.’
Added another: ‘So many rude people, trying to get in first - I got pushed out of the way. It was disgusting.’
Said one more: How sad to see pics of kids at the toy sale at midnight.’
Despite the chaos, other shoppers were excited to be there - and keen to show off their hauls on social media.
“2.5 hour drive here, just leaving now. 2.5 hours drive home,” one shopper wrote, sharing a snap of herself with two trolleys overflowing with toys.
Said one shopper: ‘Was there four hours before opening time and there were heaps of people ahead of me in the queue. Still got lots of great bargains though. Stoked.’
Said one more: ‘Put all my kids presents on lay-by. That’s Christmas shopping done and dusted. So happy.’
