Any royal fan worth their weight in corgis would have given anything to be a fly on the wall at Prince Charles’ 70th birthday bash on Wednesday night.
Now, just days after the big event, The Morning Show have revealed some juicy details from the private party thrown by the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
“Kate and Meghan were both dripping in jewels,” New Idea royal expert Angela Mollard told hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.
However, according to Angela, it was the Queen’s speech which was really the icing on the cake of a fabulous event.
“What was really beautiful was what the Queen said about Charles,” she explained.
“She said to him that he was a dedicated and respected heir to the throne to stand in comparison with anyone in history, and a wonderful father.
“What’s interesting is she also paid tribute to Camilla and said she had been a woman who had, and she used the word, ‘sustains’ Prince Charles and I think that’s an excellent word because that’s very much from people in the know what she is. I know people who’ve had dinner with the two of them and said she’s very much that presence.”
