Crown Prince Frederik attended the Sport Gala Awards in Denmark – and he appeared a little worse for wear during the proceedings.
Sporting a black suit and tie, the Danish prince looked dapper as he attended the awards ceremony.
But on the red carpet, solo Frederik looked down at the ground while photographers snapped him, and at times he fiddled with his wedding ring.
The 50-year-old could also be seen laughing with fellow guests and enjoying snacks from the table in front of him at the prestigious event.
However, the prince happily took to the stage where he announced Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki as an award-winner.
Wozniacki was not present at the awards ceremony as she was in Australia preparing for this year’s Australia Open, which starts in a week’s time.
It’s been a busy start to the new year for Prince Frederik and his wife Princess Mary – with the pair stepping out for a variety of occasions.
The royal duo most recently stepped out for the second New Year’s reception hosted by Queen Margrethe of Denmark at Christiansborg castle in Copenhagen.
Tasmanian-born Mary looked stunning in a floor-length royal blue gown – which she wore with a traditional sash and delicate diamond earrings.
The Prince – who has most recently opted for a clean-shaven look – appeared dapper in military regalia.
