Prince William and Prince Harry split Kensington Palace

The royal siblings are making room for the new royal bub.

Prince William and Prince Harry are planning to “split” Kensington Palace, as the Duchess of Sussex prepares to welcome her first child, new reports claim.

Following the tragic death of Princess Diana, the Royal brothers shared her home, with Harry living adjacent in Nottingham Cottage.

But, the small home only has two bedrooms, two reception rooms, and a bathroom that is believed to not be big enough for when the Royal baby arrives.

According to The Sunday Times the brothers are preparing a plan to split the much larger Kensington Palace where William lives with Duchess Kate and their children.

A source told the publication, “They are planning a formal division of their joint royal household, which is based at Kensington Palace, and the creation of separate courts to reflect their increasingly different responsibilities.

“The brothers have leant on each other and looked after each other since their mother died. But now they have their own families, they no longer rely on each other as before.”

Another source said: “William and Harry double act has naturally been supplanted by the two couples and their families.”

The source also said the changing duties of the brothers are playing an important role in the decision of William and Harry to split up.

They said: “When William becomes the Prince of Wales, he will take on a lot of extra responsibility.

“Harry and Meghan have non of that, and seems ambitious about forging their own paths.

“If you have one private office tying to manage both, things get difficult.”
