Queen Elizabeth went above and beyond to welcome Meghan Markle into the royal family, a royal commentator has revealed.
Kate Nicholl told Nine News that the former actress was first royal fiancee to be invited to Sandringham for Christmas.

She added: “It’s always been the case in the past that only married couples attend.
“We’ve definitely seen Meghan shake things up.”
The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her 38th birthday yesterday with a “low-key” affair at Frogmore Cottage.
Husband Prince Harry took to Instagram to wish his wife and mother of their newborn son Archie Harrison, a happy birthday.
Sharing a smiling shot of Meghan from their visit to Fiji last year, Harry wrote: “Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!”
The Duke of Sussex then signed off with, ‘Love – H’.
The caption continued: “Wishing HRH The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday”.
