"It's all about collectability - 'collect, swap, and pencil top' is the premise of the brand.
"We spend most of our days sitting around coming up with great toy ideas, and brainstorming what kids might like.
"We wanted to take well-known brands with a depth of characters - like Marvel, DC and Disney - and we've developed over 1,000 different Ooshies that you can collect."
How Ooshies are made
"We have a huge team of designers down in our Melbourne office, and all of our toy designers love toys," Hendy said.
"It usually starts with an illustrator who draws the Ooshie, and we'll work with our licensing team before a 3D designer turns it into a 3D image.
"Then the industrial design department turns it into a real Ooshie."
The rarest Ooshies
"Some of the rarest ones are from our original series - so from the first series, there was the crystal-blue Batman, golden Iron Man, and translucent-red Hulk," Hendy said.
"They're definitely hard to find now since we don't make them anymore - but people do still swap and trade."
