We thought we knew everything when it came to celebrity hook-ups, but this one appears to have flown under our radar.
Last week Russell Crowe revealed he once had a secret hook-up with Celine Dion…well, sort of.
In a bid to persuade the Canadian singer, who is currently on concert tour in Australia, to watch The Breaker Upperers – a movie made by New Zealand actors Madeleine Sami and Jackie van Beek – the Gladiator star took to Twitter to remind Celine, 50, of the time they once spent time in a hotel elevator.
‘Hey @celinedion, remember that time we met in the elevator at the @FourSeasons in LA?’ Russell, 54, began the humorous tweet.
‘Yeah. Me too. Anyway, please see below. The way Canadians are polite, New Zealanders are sincere. These girls have a lot of love for you. They made a movie. Would you see it? Regards, RC.’
While Celine has yet to publicly respond, here’s hoping that the fond memory of her meeting with Rusty will persuade her to watch the movie!
