Authorities have issued an urgent cheese recall due to e.Coli contamination fears.
Food Standards Australia reports that Frolicking Goat is conducting a recall on their popular Teddy Cheese.
The cheese has been available for sale at The Standard Market Company, FoodConnect and various markets in QLD. The use-by date on the recalled product is June 27, 2019.
Says Food Standards Australia: ‘The recall is due to microbial (E.coli) contamination. Food products contaminated with E.coli may cause illness if consumed.
‘Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.’
E.coli is a bacterial infection that can be deadly, often causing serious complications. Symptoms of contamination include vomiting, fever and diarrhoea.
