Urgent national recall: Salt & pepper pulled off shelves as they may contain sharp plastic fragments

Authorities have issued an urgent alert after a range of salt & pepper grinders were recalled amid serious food safety fears.
The range of grinders have been found to have faulty packaging, leading to the potential presence of plastic fragments in the spices.
Says Food Standards Australia: ‘Metcash is conducting a recall of Community Co Black Peppercorn Grinder 50gm, Community Co Pink Himalayan Salt Grinder 115gm and Community Co Sea Salt Grinder 50gm.
‘The recall is due to a packaging fault resulting in the potential presence of plastic fragments. Consumers should not eat this product.’
