Talley’s Mussels Garlic - a popular addition to antipasto plates - has been pulled from shelves amid fears that they could be contaminated.
Authorities warn that the product with the best before date of 19 December, 2019, should not be consumed.
Says Food Standards Australia: ‘Logan Farm Pty Ltd is conducting a recall of Talley’s Mussels Garlic 375g. The product has been available for sale at Coles, Woolworths and independent stores including IGAs in WA.
‘The recall is due to a potential for a low preservative content in the marinade which may pose a food safety risk. Potentially contaminated food may cause illness if consumed.
‘Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.’
