The spelling mistake is reminiscent of Woolworths’ spelling mistake on a festive stubby holder - which misspelt Christmas the same way, resulting in a recall.
Shoppers have taken to Facebook to have a giggle over a very unfortunate spelling mistake that's appeared on Christmas wrapping paper, available from The Reject Shop.
Sharing a snap of the festive paper on a Facebook group, one shopper asked 'did anyone else pick up some wrapping paper ... check the spelling 🙈🤣'
Sure enough, on the paper features the words ‘Merry Christmas’ are spelt ‘Merry Chirstmas’ ... with the ‘r’ and ‘i’ in Christmas spelt wrong.
‘You had one job! One job!’ laughed one shopper. Adds another: ‘I’m actually going to go buy some because of this!’
