Well now a clever home cook has come up with an ingenious way to whip a warm, cheesy variety - and it’s taking social media by storm!
Maree Lansdown has revealed how she made a delicious cob loaf dip in her slow cooker, posting her winning technique on the fabulous Slow Cooker Recipes & Tips Facebook page. And just look how good it looks!?
Sharing her recipe on the page, Maree says she combined two snack sized Cream Cheese with Herbs and Onions, 1/2 tub of sour cream, parmesan and 3-cheese blend into a bowl with some chopped celery, chopped capsicum and spinach leaves. She then added 1/2 a chorizo, chopped, 2 pieces of short cut bacon, chopped and some Mustard Seed Persian Spice Herb Blend and stirred once again.
Maree says she piled the mixture into a hollowed out cob loaf, lined her slow cooker with baking paper and placed it in there - making sure she popped some paper towel under the lid before cooking. She then cooked it on low for five hours., rubbing it with garlic butter for the last 15 minutes. YUM!
The recipe has been a bit hit on social media with hundreds jumping at the chance to recreate Maree’s recipe.
