200 g chopped butter
1 cup caster sugar
2¼ cups plain flour
1 packet fruit flavoured boiled sweets crushed
- Using electric beaters, cream 200g chopped butter with 1 cup caster sugar. Add 1 egg and gradually mix in 2¼ cups plain flour. Knead and divide into two portions, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 min. Roll out one portion and cut into 10cm stars, then cut a second 6cm star from each biscuit. Transfer biscuits to lined trays and bake for 4 min at 180°C (160°C fan forced). Fill the centre of each with a spoonful of crushed boiled lollies. Bake for a further 5 min. Cool on the tray, then transfer to a wire rack. Repeat with the rest of mixture.
