After weeks of Christmas stress and school holiday craziness, it’s fair to say that many Aussie mums are desperate for a cocktail ... or three!
But it seems there’s one cocktail recipe that’s become a firm favourite amongst mums Down Under - and it’s perfect for a hot summer’s night.
Using just moscato and mango - fresh or frozen - it’s become a seriously popular bevvie on mums’ forums across the country.
‘I’ve just finished covering school books for my five kids, and all I can think is that I need a moscato and mango cocktail,’ one mum-of-seven vented. We hear that!
The recipe? Simply peel a large mango and place it in a blender with a handful of ice and blitz until smooth. Alternatively, you can use a 1 1/2 cups of frozen mango pieces, thawed - available from supermarkets - and blitz that in a blender.
Then just add it to a large jug and pour in a bottle of moscato - it doesn’t have to be anything expensive! - and stir to combine! Voila!
Alternatively, you can place a glass of moscato in a blender with a few mango pieces for a single cocktail - whenever the mood takes you!
Now, where's our mango and moscato?!
