Sharing her amazing recipe on Aldi Mums, Justine writes: ‘After seeing a lot about the ‘2 Ingredient Cake’ and reading everyone’s hot tips I had to try it.
‘It’s AMAZING!! And so easy. I won’t buy cake again if I’ve got the time to cook this.’
Revealing that she used the Aldi Butter Cake Mix, a tin of Aldi tinned apples, cinnamon and a layer of cold custard, Justine shared her simple method.
She writes: ‘I chopped and DRAINED the tinned apples, mixed cinnamon into apples, mixed apples with cake mix.
Justine then ‘sprayed tin edges with baking spray from Aldi, put half batter in tin, [then added a] thin layer of cold custard I had leftover in fridge.’
She then added in the rest of the cake batter to the tin, sprinkled a little cinnamon on top before baking in a 160c fan-forced oven for 40 minutes. And that’s it!
Adds Justine: ‘Delicious 🤤 and so cheap. Looking forward to trying other fruits and possibly adding a crumble to the top.
