We’ve all been there! Struggling to get cupcakes and pies out of their baking tins without burning your fingers can be a real pain in the backside!
Well one clever home chef has come up with this genius 60 cent hack to make things a whole lot easier - and we couldn’t love it more.
Lyndall took to the fabulous Kmart Pie Maker Recipes, Tips and Ideas Australia to reveal her clever trick of using plastic thimblettes to protect your fingers when lifting hot snacks out of a pie maker.
And we love that the thimblettes - which come in a pack of 10 for around $6 - can be used for all sorts of baking projects, where it’s a little tricky to get little treats out of hot tins.
Says Lyndall: ‘Got tired of burnt fingertips. Use plastic spatula to lift them out but always seem to use other hand to steady.
‘Bought a pack of these from the newsagent and [they] work a treat. Come in pack of 10 so accommodates all finger sizes.’
Love it! The idea also went down a treat with the group’s other followers, who gave it the big thumbs up.
‘What a great idea, you are brilliant,’ said one. Added another: ‘Brilliant idea just love it, off to Officeworks!’
Added a third: ‘OMG, best idea EVER!’
We couldn’t agree more! We found these thimblettes at Officeworks - but they’re available in a wide variety of stores.
