But one doctor says that while it’s completely normal for expectant women to suffer from seriously swollen feet during their pregnancy, it’s important for Jess to avoid certain foods to minimise the bloating.
‘Your diet can also contribute,’ Dallas gynaecologist Dr Jessica Shepherd tells US Women’s Heath, adding that she recommends that pregnant women limit their caffeine and sodium intake—both of which can make your body retain water.
Adds US obstetrician Dr Christine Greves: ‘The reason why you see it more in the feet is just from gravity—that's where the body tends to hold extra fluid.’
Jessica - who is mum to Maxwell, six, and Ace, five - has drawn some criticism during her pregnancy for wearing sky-high heels as recently as two weeks ago.
Just a week ago, the poor mum-to be posted a selfie of herself having a ‘sick day’ - showing that the final weeks of her pregnancy have been a struggle.
But with insiders saying the baby is due ‘any day now’, she doesn’t have to battle swollen feet for too much longer. Stay strong, Jess!
