The Foundling Museum works with artists, writers and musicians to develop learning programs, especially for marginalised and vulnerable young people.

Kensington Palace took to Twitter to discuss Kate’s involvement with the museum.

“In 2017 The Duchess of Cambridge visited the @FoundlingMuseum and met the first intake of ‘Tracing our Tales’ trainees” read the tweet, “Two years later she met some of these young adults again to hear how the programme has helped them gain confidence and employment.”

In a speech, Kate said, “Your work connects and celebrates two subjects that are deeply important to me: children, and art.”

“I am passionate about improving children’s life chances and giving them opportunities, so that they can look forward to the best possible futures, fulfill their whole potential, and have the freedom to explore their creativity,” she added. “I have always believed in the power of art, not only to unlock that creativity, but also to bring us joy, and to inspire, challenge and positively change our lives.”

The 37-year-old royal kept on the same grey Catherine Walker coat dress she had on earlier in the day, and slightly changed up her look by removing her Sylvia Fletcher black fascinator.
