It’s a familiar (and stressful) scene for many families.
But one mum has taken things into her own hands with a clever Kmart hack designed to streamline getting ready in the morning, making it a stress-free process.
Ballina mum Jessica-Louise Groves created her own school bag station to organise her five children. Each child has a dedicated place for their school bag, along with shelf space and pull-out boxes to store shoes, library books, hats, coats and notes.
'Being organised and having routine is very important in our household,' Jessica-Louise told Better Homes and Gardens.
She created the station using two Kmart 8-cube shelves, four black wire baskets and four collapsible cubes and hooks, spending a total of $130.
Jessica-Louise’s best tip for organising kids in the morning? Prepare everything a day ahead.
'I get the kids clothes/uniforms ready and laid out the night before, have dance/swimming/soccer bags packed and ready, I pack lunches and fill drink bottles the night before, I write a 'to do' list for the following day and in the morning set out fresh pyjamas (and nappies for the little ones) ready for after their baths that night,' she said.
