Citing the coronavirus as a key reason behind the collapse, administrators KordaMentha said the COVID-19 outbreak was the final straw after a period of declining sales.
'It reduced the number of people coming through shopping centres, which reduced sales in an already challenging environment,' administrator Scott Langdon told The Australian Financial Review.
'A sale of business process will commence immediately and we expect a high level of interest in the business given the strong brand and its reputation.'
The administers said they were hopeful they’d be able to sell the business, stating they planned at this stage to continue trading on a ‘limited basis’.
Tigerlily is the latest retail brand to collapse in recent months, following Colette by Colette Hayman, Harris Scarfe and Kikki K.
