Toasted Ginger Figs

Toasted Ginger Figs
Prep: 2 Minutes - Cook: 8 Minutes - easy - Serves 2

When it comes to easy, pleasurable cooking, these toasted ginger figs are gloriously fresh and fast. 

Ingredients

4-5 figs, halved

2 tbsp caster sugar

¼ tsp ground ginger

100ml/3½fl oz double cream, to serve

Method

  1. Preheat the grill. Put the figs, cut-side up, on a baking tray. Mix together the sugar and ginger, before sprinkling liberally over the figs.

  2. Place beneath the grill, not too close to the top, and cook for 6-8 mins, until toasted with a tinged edge, offering the cream ready to drizzle over.
