The 360ml Glass Travel Cup has been pulled off shelves by the bargain chain store after Product Safety Recall Australia issued a warning due to a potential scalding or burning hazard.
Kmart issued a statement saying: ‘At Kmart, we take the quality and safety of our products very seriously, which is why we are issuing a product safety recall of the 360ml Glass Travel Cup.
‘Due to a manufacturing defect, the bottom of the glass can separate if using boiling water. This item was available for purchase between 31 December 2018 and 4 April 2019.
‘We encourage customers to cease using this product immediately and return to any Kmart store for a full refund, with or without a receipt. If you have any questions please contact our Customer Service team on 1800 124 125.’
