Authorities have announced the recall of a popular kids lolly due to the presence of plastic.
Target Australia has pulled their 200g bags of Jersey Caramels from all stores nationally after the foreign matter was allegedly found in the lolly.
Says Food Standards Australia: ‘Target Australia Pty Ltd is conducting a recall of The Fabulous Food Company Jersey Caramels 200g. The product has been available for sale at Target stores nationally.
‘The recall is due to the presence of foreign matter (plastic). Food products containing plastic may cause illness/injury if consumed.
‘Consumers should not eat this product and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.’
The recall covers best before dates from August 2018 through to (and including) February 2021.
This latest food scare comes just days after Aldi, Woolworths, Coles and IGA were all forced to pull milk from stores across various states due to possible E.Coli contamination.
