US star Jenna Jameson has taken to Instagram to reveal her 18kg weight loss - and she did it all in just EIGHT months.
The mum-of-three credits the keto diet - and more recently, intermittent fasting - as being the secret behind her transformation. Keto was the biggest diet trend of 2018, and see followers cut out all refined sugars, carbs including pasta, bread, rice and chips and focus on eating whole foods such as fish, meat and veggies.
Keto works by cutting out specific foods and food groups to put your body into a state of ketosis - where it will burn fat instead of carbs. And there’s little doubt it’s worked for Jenna. The star took to her Instagram account recently to show how Keto transformed her body.
‘How cool are these progress shots?’ Jenna wrote, alongside three side-by-side pictures of her weight-loss journey. ‘I am obsessed with seeing my healthy habits take action!
‘The first image is when I began my quest at 200 lbs, the second was close to goal weight at 127 and the last is at my happy place 120. As you can see by the third, my skin is starting to tighten a bit, thanks to #intermittentfasting ‘Once again I can’t stress how important taking progress pictures is! It helps my motivation immensely.’
Jenna says that before she started keto she was tired and lethargic all the time, struggling to do the most basic of tasks. But now she says she’s now full of energy and very happy.
The mum says she regularly takes snaps in her old, now-oversized clothes to help her see how far she’s come.
‘Nothing motivates me more to stay on my health trajectory than seeing progress, even the smallest of advancement,’ she says. ‘I urge you to be patient and stay the course.’
